The Honourable Minister of Information and Culture of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has called on all Nigerians to avoid hate speeches and fake news that are detrimental and capable of threatening the unity of Nigeria.
He mentioned this at the opening ceremony of the 4th Annual Conference of the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) in Kano State.
Speaking at the conference with the theme Communication, Governance and Development, Alhaji Mohammed called on all communication professionals particularly the members of the media to be professional in their delivery and avoid promoting information that may bring diversity rather than the needed cohesion that is germane for the growth and development of Nigeria.
The ACSPN Annual Conference is a two-day conference from September 6-7.
